General Information on Data Processing

We process personal data of our users only to the extent necessary for providing a functional website and our content and services. Processing of personal data occurs only with the user's consent or where permitted by statutory provisions.

Hosting

This website is operated on the infrastructure of Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA. Vercel processes the data arising when the website is accessed on our behalf. This includes IP address, time of access, pages requested, browser and device data, and the contents of submitted forms. The basis is a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Delivery and server functions run from the Frankfurt am Main location.

Access by the US parent company cannot be technically excluded. For this transfer to a third country we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses pursuant to Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR. The legal basis for hosting is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the reliable provision of our website.

Server Log Files

The hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in server log files that your browser transmits automatically. These include: browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, hostname of the accessing device, time of server request, and IP address. This data is not merged with other data sources. Collection is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Contact Form

When you contact us via the contact form on our website, the data you provide (name, email address, company, phone number, and message) is processed and stored for the purpose of handling your enquiry. We do not share this data without your consent. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries). The data is deleted once it is no longer required for the purpose of its collection.

Damage Report and File Upload

The damage report form lets you send us details of a claim together with related files such as photographs, invoices, or reports. We process these details in order to review and handle the report. The files are stored with Supabase Inc., with the storage location in Frankfurt am Main. The basis is a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR including the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for pre-contractual measures and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for our legitimate interest in handling the report. Where your submission contains personal data of third parties, for example policyholders or injured parties, we process that data as part of handling the assignment. The data is deleted once it is no longer required for the purpose and no statutory retention period applies.

Newsletter

When you subscribe to our newsletter, your email address is processed for the purpose of sending the newsletter. Delivery runs through Resend Inc., 2261 Market Street #5039, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA, acting as our processor pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. The European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses pursuant to Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR apply to the transfer to the USA. The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You may revoke your consent at any time. Revocation does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to the revocation.

OpenStreetMap

This website uses the OpenStreetMap mapping service on the contact page. The operator is the OpenStreetMap Foundation, St John's Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS, United Kingdom. The map loads directly without a separate consent step. We have verified this: neither the embedded map view nor the tile server sets cookies, and the map stores no data in your browser.

When the map loads, your IP address is transmitted to OpenStreetMap servers to deliver the map tiles. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in displaying our office location).

Local Fonts

This website uses locally hosted web fonts. No connection to external servers is established. Font files are served from our own server.

Reach Measurement and Page Speed

To obtain statistics on the use of our pages we use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights. The provider is Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA, the same processor that also provides our hosting. Both services work without cookies and store nothing in your browser. We record the page requested, the referring source, the country of origin, device type and browser, and page load times. From your IP address and browser signature Vercel derives a checksum that changes daily. Recognition beyond a single day is therefore not possible, and the IP address itself is not stored.

The administration area of our application is excluded from measurement. No profiles are created and no data is transmitted for advertising purposes. As neither cookies are set nor information is read from your device, no consent under Section 25 TDDDG is required. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in understanding which content is in demand and where pages load too slowly. The standard contractual clauses named in the Hosting section apply to the transfer to the USA. You may object to this processing under Art. 21 GDPR, a message to [email protected] is sufficient.

Cookies and Local Storage

This website does not set cookies. We use no advertising services, no profiles are created, and no data is transmitted to third parties for tracking or advertising purposes. Reach measurement uses the cookie-free services described in the preceding section. We therefore do not need a consent dialogue.

On the public pages we store two entries in your browser's local storage. The entry igo-rec-locale remembers the language you selected. The entry newsletter_subscribed remembers that you have already subscribed to the newsletter so that the prompt is not shown again. Both entries are created only through a deliberate action on your part, remain on your device, and are not transmitted to us. They are necessary for the function you requested and therefore exempt from consent under Section 25(2)(2) TDDDG. You can delete both entries at any time via your browser settings.

Your Rights

You have the right to access the personal data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR), to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), and to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR). Where processing is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw it at any time (Art. 7(3) GDPR). You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The supervisory authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Rhineland-Palatinate.
